The igus® SLS materials are characterised by significantly higher abrasion resistance and wear resistance compared to conventional materials for laser sintering. The iglidur® i3 plastic powder for laser sintering, for example, showed at least three times better abrasion resistance in tests in the igus test laboratory. Especially for beta tests, prototypes, small batches or special mechanical engineering, new possibilities arise while designing with wear-stressed parts.
