Plastics specialist igus will be presenting some of its latest innovations at the New England Design and Manufacturing show, at the co-located PLASTEC show. On display will be a variety of igus’ products, including DryLin W linear guide system, the e-spool and Twisterband Energy Chain Systems®, and its self-lubricating iglide bearings.

In booth 415 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, igus will present its DryLin W linear guide system, designed for almost unlimited design flexibility. DryLin® W was developed to promote design flexibility and quick assembly in single and double rail configurations. Available with enhanced iglide® J200 for reduced friction and optimized bearing life, DryLin W is lubricant and maintenance free, and is suitable for use in dirt and dust. Square or round profiles are available in a variety of sizes (imperial and metric), to suit any application.

Also on display will be the TwisterBand and e-spool Energy Chain systems. Twisterband is a space-saving solution for rotary applications where complicated and expensive rotary systems are typically needed. TwisterBand allows for rotary movements of +/- 1500º at speeds up to 380º/second. The e-spool is another space-saving alternative for traditional cable management systems. E-spool uniquely combines two different energy supply systems: One standard e-chain® is guided by one roller and provides any time the exactly right length and tension of the energy supply system through an integrated retaining spring

Also on display will be a variety of iglide self-lubricating bearings for a variety of applications and environments. iglide bearings, which are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year, are used in industries ranging from cleanroom settings to heavy agriculture equipment, and are maintenance and external lubrication-free, resistant against dirt and corrosion, and have been so extensively tested that their lifetime is accurately predictable using igus’ free online tools.
